A Day In The Life of Our PTs
Most PTs tend to be surprised when they discover what a typical day in our company is like:
Morning Preparation:
-
Arrive at the office and review the schedule for the day. The front desk team has a chart prepared for each patient, following the same process as the podiatrists in the office.
-
Check patient charts and review notes from previous sessions.
-
Prepare treatment rooms and necessary equipment for the day's treatments. With a designated PT area/office, preparation is simple and streamlined.

Morning Patient Assessments and Treatment Sessions:
-
Conduct initial assessments with scheduled patients to evaluate their condition, range of motion, and strength.
-
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
-
Begin treatment sessions, which may include therapeutic exercises/activity, manual therapy techniques, all based on the PT’s judgment.

Lunch Break:
-
PTs have the autonomy to decide when they prefer to take lunch.

Collaboration with Podiatrists and Care Team Throughout the Day:
-
Consult with podiatrists regarding treatment plans and patient progress.
-
Provide updates on patient status and collaborate on comprehensive care plans.
-
Podiatrist or Medical Assistant may request your input and feedback during a Podiatry patient’s visit.
-
Access to team discussion for on-site radiography findings and pre/post-surgical cases.

Afternoon Patient Assessments and Treatment Sessions:
-
Resume treatment sessions with scheduled patients.

Documentation, Follow-Up, and Administrative Tasks:
-
Complete documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans. Our focus on a body area allows for documentation to be streamlined and compact.
-
Develop discharge plans for patients who are progressing well and provide recommendations for ongoing care.

End of Day Wrap-Up:
-
Finalize any remaining team consults and documentation.
-
Tidy up treatment rooms and workspace.
-
Review the schedule for the following day and prepare for upcoming appointments.
